CAC Development Plan

Our vision is that all of South Carolina's children will have equal access to CAC services regardless of where they reside in the state. The below Children's Advocacy Center development plan is to serve as a guide for realizing that vision. Click on the images below to view the documents. Please read the notes at the bottom of this page about viewing the development plan in the web viewer.

2018 Development plan & Appendix (NCA Standards for Accredited Members)

Children's Advocacy Center Development Plan

In 2018, SCNCAC received a private foundation grant to assist with conducting a feasibility study and needs assessment to guide the growth and development of Children's Advocacy Centers in South Carolina. The majority of the research on the project occurred in the 3rd quarter of 2018 with completion in October 2018.

Standards for Accredited Members

This book comprises the full text of the Standards for Accredited Members, 2017 Edition, and includes introductory text, essential components of all ten standards, and helpful appendices. This edition is in effect as of January 1, 2017, and is the standard for all new and re-accreditation applications.

The SCNCAC CAC development plan and the listed appendix, the National Children's Alliance Standards for Accredited Members, provide an overview of the current state of Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) coverage in South Carolina, make recommendations on how CAC growth should occur, and provide information on the standards CACs must meet to provide accredited services in South Carolina.

The development plan will open in a web viewer, and you can view in full screen mode and download a PDF version by using the control buttons at the bottom of the web viewer page. You can also use the arrow buttons on your keyboard to advance the pages in the development plan. The web viewer will work on all devices but if the images are not clear, use the button at the bottom of the viewer to download a PDF version of the document.
