Dickerson CAC is seeking a Therapy Services Coordinator

The Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center, located in Lexington, South Carolina, has an open position for a Therapy Services Coordinator within our organization. 

The Therapy Services Coordinator provides behavioral health services and victim advocacy for a Caseload of young children ranging in age from 3-18 (individual and group), for survivors of child abuse, to include sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, children exposed to domestic violence and other crimes against a child. The goal of this position is to assist child victims, their non-offending caregivers and adult victims in reaching understanding and emotional resolution of issues related to their physical and/or sexual victimization and to provide clinical and support services throughout the investigation and treatment process.

Position title:              Therapy Services Coordinator

Supervisor:                Director of Forensics and Outreach Services

Position Description:  To provide evidence-based counseling (individual and group), and victim advocacy for survivors of child abuse, to include sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, children exposed to domestic violence and other crimes against a child. The goal of this position is to assist child victims, their non-offending caregivers and adult victims in reaching understanding and emotional resolution of issues related to their physical and/or sexual victimization and to provide clinical and support services throughout the investigation and treatment process..

Education and Experience:  Clinical license is required. A master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field, two years of experience in counseling, experience working with child and adult victims of abuse is required. Specialized knowledge of special needs population is preferred.
