Dorchester CAC Holds Ribbon Cutting

On March 23, 2023 the Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center held a ribbon cutting for their newly renovated Summerville Center. The event was held jointly with a Chamber After Hours Event. The Children’s Advocacy Center thanked the HDR Foundation and Silent Tears Foundation for providing grants that paid for the bathroom renovations, and new furnishings. Program Highlight – Dorchester Kids Care Program

Summerville, SC – The Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) offers 3 different Kids Care Programs year-round. The Kids Care Programs assist DCAC families in providing essential items for the children receiving services at the center. These programs are an important service offered by DCAC because many of the caregivers utilizing DCAC services have taken in a relative or family member unexpectedly to help avoid a child from entering the foster care system.
