On February 28th, 2023, our Children’s Advocacy Center in Anderson and Oconee Counties held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the rebranding of First Light. First Light is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency that encompasses three programs: Sexual Trauma Center, Child Advocacy Center, and Prevent Child Abuse. Foothills Alliance was formed when three agencies were merged in July 2001. Spartanburg, SC – The Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee, & Union Counties has been awarded a Community Grant from the Chapman Cultural Center! With this grant, the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) will be incorporate more art into therapy sessions with the children they serve. The CAC would like to be able to provide all the necessary art materials for children to be able to express themselves fully through art when they cannot express their emotions and feelings through words.
